Listed below are the policies we follow when reconditioning or repairing appliances.

Cleaning

Reconditioned washers have been cleaned thoroughly, including between the inner and outer wash tub.  Mineral deposits have been removed with Muriatic Acid.   

Reconditioned dryers have been disassembled and vacuumed thoroughly.  

Reconditioned ranges have been cleaned thoroughly using a strong degreasing solution and fine steel wool. 

On most used refrigerators, old food pieces have collected & mold may be growing under the freezer floor.  So, our reconditioned refrigerators get  disassembled, cleaned thoroughly, and treated with bleach. 

Freezers and dishwashers are cleaned thoroughly with hot soapy water and fine steel wool.


 

Testing

Our reconditioned washers have been run through their full cycles while checking various water level and temperature settings.  We watch for leaks at this time.

Reconditioned dryers have their internal temperatures monitored while running through their cycles at various settings.

Refrigerators and freezers are monitored by an automatic graphing clock.  This clock shows the efficiency of the compressor and the regularity of the temperature cycles over a period of time. 

Ranges have the burners checked at high and low settings.  Oven temperature is measured and the controls are adjusted as necessary.

Dishwashers are run through their cycles and checked for leaks.


 

Refunds

If the appliance you purchased has a problem that requires service within the 6 Month Warranty period, you may have a refund of the purchase price.  The appliance must be returned to our store and the problem verified. 

There are no refunds for special orders or electrical parts with packaging opened.  Other parts may be refunded minus a restocking fee.


 

Repairs

We repair major household appliances such as washers, dryers, refrigerators, ranges, freezers, dishwashers, microwaves, air conditioners, and most furnaces.

An appointment can be made for in-home repair service.  The initial service charge is $60- $100 depending on the location, plus the cost of parts.  This initial charge includes the first 1/2 hour of labor.  Additional labor after that first 1/2 hour is $60 per hour.  Extra visits do not incur another $60 - $100  service charge but there will usually be a trip charge to cover the time & mileage. In general, some types of appliances or certain brands require parts to be ordered and therefore may require a return trip. Please feel free to ask ahead of time about your particular situation.

Appointments to repair commercial-grade equipment, or residential-grade equipment being used in a commercial capacity bear an initial service charge of $130 anywhere in our service area, though this does include the first full hour. Additional labor after that first hour is $80 per hour. There is a flat $60 fee to cover return trips.

Repair service in our shop incurs a $60 per hour charge plus the cost of parts.  There is a $30 minimum charge.

We stock some new parts.  Most new parts can be ordered and will arrive the next day.  We use new parts for repairs.  Used parts are sometimes available upon request to help keep costs down.


 

Warranty

~ 6 Month Warranty ~

All reconditioned products come with a 6 month warranty unless otherwise specified.  This warranty includes everything functional about the product itself.  We do exclude food loss from the warranty on our refrigerators and freezers.  If we deliver the product, we will pick it up and redeliver for warranty service as part of the warranty.  If you picked up the product, you must bring it back to us for warranty service.  The warranty covers parts and labor, up to a maximum of the purchase price of the unit. We do reserve the right to verify warranty issues either on location or in shop at our discretion before issuing a refund or performing any repairs. Please be aware that as these are used appliances, sometimes certain parts are no longer available or can be prohibitively expensive. We will do our best to restore the function of the unit by whatever means are necessary, but if needed, refunds or exchanges are also options.

~ 90 Day Warranty ~

This is a refund-only warranty. Appliance must be brought back to the store location at the customer's expense to verify the failure before issuing a refund.   This warranty does include everything functional about the product itself unless otherwise excluded, and we do exclude food loss from the warranty on our refrigerators and freezers.
